This project is focused on training 70 out of school youth on basic computer knowledge (Microsoft application), Computer repair and maintenance, Software installation and updates, Application development, graphics design, and website development. While many economies in Africa are growing and have need of skilled ICT workers, over 86% of Africa's population still has no Internet access. Millions of young women and men living in rural Northern Uganda still have no internet or ICT knowledge or training. They have been left out of the internet revolution and access to improved education, employment, communication and empowerment and yet in today's world knowledge is power and it controls access to opportunity and advancement.
This project will increase access to basic computer knowledge (Microsoft application), Graphic and website development, Software installation and updates among others to out of school youth adolescent and youth mothers. However, we shall integrate cross cutting issues on gender and information on HIV/AIDS as part of our thematic areas. The knowledge of computers & the Internet is essential to building and establishing careers, which will empower one participate in the economy of the country
