We recently heard directly from Dr Suhaila Tarazi and her colleague, Dr Maher, on Thursday 21st October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, or Rosy October in Gaza - because of the pink ribbon .
They updated us on the situation at Al Ahli Hospital and for Gaza in general. Dr Tarazi discussed Al Ahli’s breast cancer screening programme which is at the heart of Amos Trust’s Women 4 Women campaign and why it is so important. She also shared the challenges of running a hospital under the ongoing blockade of Gazaand the lasting impact of Covid-19.
