Our team in Nepal is spearheading some exciting initiatives in Student Leadership at several schools!
A direct result of the work being done to bridge relationships between youth and their educators, the students are launching three dynamic clubs: Peer Support Club, Education Club, and Policy Making Club.
These clubs will be opportunities for youth to work directly with parents and educators to take charge of their learning and growth. This will also be an opportunity for the adults to witness the depth of wisdom and skill that their children have to offer.
Leading clubs in a school where their voices are heard and valued is a huge step for these children who are being brought up in a society that expects children to be silent. Our vision is for these groups to be spaces where children can practice critical thinking and develop life skills such as cooperation and mutual support. This collaboration between children and adult educators is only the beginning of an initiative to develop youth led clubs in over thirty schools between this year and the next.
Your contributions support our Nepal team in their efforts to continue boosting student confidence and forging relationships of trust between youth and the adults in their lives.
