Nepal Country Director Suresh Chhetry and new Program Manager Sarita Pokhrel have been hard at work leading trainings across Kageshwari-Manohara Municipality, a region of Kathmandu surrounded by steep hillsides and lush vegetation. Healing Together Nepal's strategy of providing trainings in one region at a time enhances the impact of each training, as teachers from across the regional school system all become Healing Advocates soon after each other.
The Healing Together Nepal team also took time on November 18th, A Day to End Sexual Violence Towards Children, to share the advocacy work they have been doing all year to dispel stigma and encourage survivors to seek help. Suresh in particular has led the way in engaging a national and international audience to take a stand against Child Sexual Violence. Healing trauma also includes prevention, and the more people that learn about this type of violence the more people will be empowered to stop it.
Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement for our work in Nepal! Without you, it wouldn't be possible.
