By Ola Akinwe | Project Leader

Dear Esteemed Donors,

We are pleased to update you on the preparations for the upcoming "Boys Future, Boys Challenge [BFBC] Summit," scheduled for May 2025 at the BMAN Centre. This groundbreaking summit aims to explore the challenges, expectations, and opportunities in the transition from boyhood to manhood.

Summit Objectives

1. Exploration of Challenges: To provide a platform where boys and young men can openly discuss the societal and personal challenges they face in their journey to adulthood.

2. Setting Expectations: To guide attendees in understanding the expectations placed upon them and how to align these with personal goals and values.

3. Identifying Opportunities: To highlight the opportunities available to boys and young men that can empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Planning and Preparations

1. Venue and Date
- The BFBC Summit is set to take place at the esteemed BMAN Centre, a venue chosen for its accessibility and facilities conducive to learning and networking.

2. Program Content
- The summit will feature a diverse range of activities, including keynote speeches from influential leaders, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and mentor sessions.
- Topics will cover essential aspects such as mental health, career guidance, personal development, and community engagement.

3. Engagement and Participation:
- We are targeting participation from a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including educational institutions, community leaders, parents, and the boys themselves.
- Efforts are underway to secure speakers and facilitators who resonate with young audiences and can provide valuable insights and inspiration.

4. Resource Management:
- With your support, we are diligently working on resource allocation, ensuring that all logistical aspects such as transportation, accommodation, and materials are adequately covered.

Goals for the Summit

- Empowerment: Equip attendees with the tools and knowledge to navigate the complexities of adolescence and adulthood successfully.
- Networking: Provide a platform for boys to connect with mentors, role models, and peers in an environment of support and mutual learning.
- Community Building: Strengthen community ties by fostering an environment that encourages dialogue, understanding, and collaboration among all participants.

Final Thoughts

The BFBC Summit represents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of boys and young men. Your continued support is vital in bringing this vision to life and ensuring its success.

We are committed to making the BFBC Summit a transformational experience for all involved. We look forward to your ongoing partnership as we work towards creating a future full of promise and potential for the next generation.
