Escaping the fire season

Our Neighbour's farm burning

This year, Cheetah Experience faced its most challenging fire season to date. The relentless blaze tested our resilience and underscored the critical need for enhanced fire prevention measures. Despite the adversity, our team’s determination and quick action ensured the safety of our beloved animals and the preservation of their habitats.

As we move forward, we are committed to preventing such devastating events. Our next project will focus on installing state-of-the-art sprinkler systems throughout the animal camps. These systems will provide an essential layer of protection, significantly reducing the risk of future fires and safeguarding the lives of our animals in our sanctuary.

Additionally, we recognize the need to secure our perimeter to protect against external threats. Strengthening the boundaries of our sanctuary will not only help in fire prevention but also ensure that our animals remain safe from other potential dangers, which have increased in recent months.   Although we are all still safe, we need to be proactive in the prevention of crimes against our animals.

The elements of nature also pose a continuous challenge, requiring ongoing maintenance and vigilance. From repairing fences damaged by storms to clearing debris that could fuel fires, our team is dedicated to maintaining a secure and safe environment for our wildlife.

This initiative is a testament to our unwavering dedication to the well-being of the creatures in our care. We are profoundly grateful for the support of our community and sponsors, whose contributions make such vital projects possible. Together, we are building a safer, more secure environment for all the wildlife at Cheetah Experience.

Thank you for standing with us and for continuing to support our mission. Your generosity and commitment are the backbone of our efforts to protect and nurture these incredible animals.
