This project will provide leadership and community development training for 15 Indigenous leaders of the Indigenous Pastoral Ministry of Chimborazo in Ecuador. By strengthening their leadership, governance, and organizational skills, the project aims to empower them to educate and support over 2,000 community members. The training will focus on justice, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship through a culturally inclusive and community-driven approach.
The Indigenous Pastoral Ministry of Chimborazo faces a lack of biblical and theological training for its leaders, which is impacting their ability to guide their communities effectively. The leaders lack access to structured education, leading to potential misinterpretations of scripture and a weakened focus on justice, community, and environmental stewardship. This affects over 2,000 community members across rural and urban areas in Ecuador.
This project will provide eight months of biblical and pastoral training to 15 leaders, equipping them with a deeper understanding of scripture and theology. The training, provided by the Verbo Divino Biblical Center, will empower leaders to educate their communities and address social and environmental challenges. These leaders will, in turn, teach over 2,000 community members, fostering spiritual growth and social action.
The project will strengthen Indigenous communities by equipping leaders with the knowledge to address environmental and social issues while promoting justice and faith. It will create a foundation for sustainable leadership development, benefiting both current and future generations.
