A home of peace and beauty for Bethlehem

We are very happy to announce that finally, after three years of hard work, Pro Terra Sancta has inaugurated the Dar Al Majus (Home of the three kings) Community Home. 

The center aim is to be a place where the local youth will be welcomed and lead through a personal and professional growth through counseling and vocational training. At the same time it will have spaces to promote cultural activities with the aim of awakening creativity in the youngest and making them aware of their historical and cultural heritage; here pilgrims and visitors may meet the living communities of the town where Jesus was born.

The Pro Terra Sancta offices are now in the center and we've already started some acctivities such as music therapy courses and the bazar with handicraft made by Bethlehem women. 

Dar Al Majus is a true sign of hope for the town of Bethlehem that has suffered a lot during the last years. We managed to keep building it during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdowns and we hope it'll now be a real opportunity to start over again for the people of the town where Jesus was born.

The Dar Al Majus Community Home is almost ready!

Renovation works to rehabilitate an old house and turn it into a cultural center and vocational trainig home for the city of Bethlehem are almost finished and soon we will be able to start our activities! 

The Dar Al-Majus (House of the Three Kings) Community home, a home of peace, culture and beauty in Bethlehem, a centre of vocation, support and culture where the Bethlehem community can gather and where pilgrims from all over the world will be welcomed to learn more about the place where Jesus was born.

Now that it's possible to travel again in the Holy Land, it will be soon possible to visit the Community home for tourists and pilgrims! 

For many years, the separation wall has kept the population of Bethlehem semi-confined. The restriction of movement has generated depression, leading to a climate of heavy social tension, which in turn leads to increased violence especially among youth. The Covid 19 emergency has worsened the situation even more.

The center is a great opportunity for Bethlehem youth! Thanks to many contributions we've been able to carry on renovation works but we now need all possible help to get the center activities going!
