We have cleared over 2.5 tons of waste from the Vilankulo beaches already this year - mostly empty single use plastic bottles! Until bottling companies stop producing and selling them, together we've got to keep pulling them away from the sea and into the "circular economy."
In June we celebrated World Oceans Day with educational workshops about marine life in primary schools and a cleanup campaign that included rescuing mangroves trees from the snares of lost-at-sea clothing items.
Thanks for doing your part by supporting beach/sea cleanup week after week.
We still are still behind our goal to cover the cost for the whole year. We could really use your help to spread the word and fill the gap!
