The Beach Cleanup crew (25 out of work youth and elders) had a great start to the year! Although they had to break during Cyclone Freddy, they have already managed to fill up 66 giant sacks with almost 350 kilograms of trash - 100 kilograms of that will get recycled! It's a lot of single use water bottles which weigh very little, so it's really a giant amount of plastic... which would have otherwise been floating around in the ocean!
Thanks to you, we raised enough funds to get started. At the moment, we are 70% of the way there to cover the costs of the program for the whole year. Just $1,353 left to go.
Please tell your friends about this project so they too can help get rid of ocean plastic and provide income to those who really need it.
