3 Generations has expanded our focus to all indigenous peoples and their struggles to protect their communities, traditions and way of life. It is with that in mind that we created our Ayni Relief Project. Thank you for your generous donations. We are happy to report that there has been little logistical trouble getting support to the families of Chinchero and today we received this update from Puma Quispe:
In deep gratitude to all our Global Community, Family and Friends we are able to give this first report of how the relief funds are being used for our Chinchero Community. The support for families and children and Artisan women was given in the time in which they were most needed - during Christmas time. The main relief is for our community people to know that we are not alone and we have a global community that will support our most vulnerable families that are still struggling through the hard pandemic. Amid a very severe Covid-19 second wave, many families are stuck in quarantine and not able to produce their daily income to support their families or in most cases even feed them. They are also unable to educate the children because of the very limited non presential Education system. During these hard times where vulnerable people suffer illness and lock downs our indigenous people have to change the way of life they were used to and there is a lot of devastation and grief. We are able to restrengthen our spirit and have Gratitude to our family in 3 Generations and GlobalGiving for being generous with their solidarity.
Thank you for being the light in the mists of darkness and for giving your seed of love to our community and our Indigenous people.
With your generosity we were able to benefit:
Our Pledge is to your continuous support for this next part of the process of recovery.
