Animal Cruelty Prevention Project

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our project preventing the cruelty to animals. This reporting period we focus our support to the continuing education of animal owners in order for cruelty to be prevented. The situation is difficult due to poverty and the lack of knowledge in taking care of the animals. For example the most common problem which is skin diseases due to lice infestation is left untreated and pets suffer. We were able to provide advice to 35 pet owners and we hope to continue our support as we implement this project. The situation in the rural areas is difficult with the general economic problems as crops are failing due to extreme weather condition. We do hope that this situation will improve in the near future. Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative rescuing animals in distress. We have so much issues about this project since even with repeated educational campaigns for villagers to take good care of their animals especially grown pets they left to roam without care, it seems that our effort is not listened to. Anyway despite the problems, we are continuing our effort. We also enlist the help of government agencies concerned with the welfare of animals to provide help and we are glad to say that they are responding. There is a need to spay and neuter near-abandoned pets as well as provide medicines to them. This reporting period we were able to distribute medicines to 12 families who asked our help for their pets to be cared for. Hoping that we will be able to reach out to more in the next months.
