Last month we officially broke ground on our research station. We were able to successffully complete the roof and frame the entire building. Lots of work still left to complete, but we are well on our way now.
Please see pictures and how we were able to really stretch out our funds to build something really impressive. The station overlooks the Aquicuana Reserve and Lake San Jose. It's the ideal location to receive researchers to better understand the reserve and all its inhabitants. We will also use the space as an office for the non-profit to continue our work in the reserve with refoestation, conversation and community development projects.
We are currently working with the municipal government to bring in electricity. With some extra support, we will now work on the flooring and external walls. We will then furnish and equip the station to receive qaulified researchers interested in helping understand, support and preserve this spectular nature reserve.
We hope these advancments and photos spur additional interest in our work. We are still a long-ways from finishing but making steady progress. Thank you to all our supporters. We wouldn't have been able to get this far without all of you.
