Dear Rainforest Champion,
There are always reasons to feel inspired when working in the Peruvian Amazon—and our recent collaboration with local teachers was truly one of those special moments!
We had the opportunity to work with about a dozen teachers from both rural and urban schools, helping them strengthen their skills to teach science using the forest as a living laboratory. The teachers embraced new methodologies with enthusiasm and created lesson plans tailored to the specific needs of their students. It was an incredible journey that culminated in a recognition ceremony and the distribution of a variety of school materials and supplies. This initiative was in large part possible thanks to the Citizen Diplomacy Fund.
As we begin the 2025 academic year, we’re excited to continue expanding our efforts to promote environmental education in our region. Thank you for your ongoing support of this important work!
With gratitude,
Geoff, Johana, and the rest of the ASA team
