Dear friend,
The communities of Viña del Mar have had a difficult year full of challenges. There is still so much that needs to be done, but we are sure that through organization and community work we can continue to contribute.
We were invited to collaborate with the School Leadership program of Pacto Social Foundation, where a group of teenagers of Viña del Mar identified local issues and necessities and organized in order to propose solutions. This is how the idea of a Full Work Day for the educational community of Villa Independencia started. Collaborative and playful activities to support school development.
As Fundación Minga we were in charge of the carpentry workshop, supporting a group of students that were aiming to promote the improvement of outdoor educational spaces. In just one morning we saw the fruits of teamwork, building benches and installing planting boxes that will serve to strengthen the school's environmental education space, where children learn outdoors. This is one of the activities we have carried out at Villa Independencia School, where we will continue working during the second semester to support the educational community.
Regards,
