Cosma has been providing access to improved inputs like seeds, towards the close of last year, we opened the scheme of providing both organic and artificial fertilizers to our coffee farmers
The harvest was three times higher than harvest without any applied fertilizer. Fertizers is an expensive Input for most of the coffee and maize farmers. the ability to access fertilizers without cash payment is next to impossible
Cosma facilitates cash purchase of aggregated demand, there on farmers are required to contribute to next seasons purchase by paying back to pool of fund created and managed by the farmer cooperative with support by Cosma.
