Farmers who are part of Cosma program have not only engaged in crop production but have carried out other income generating activities like poultry, piggery among others. These have helped them to realize additional household income leading to improved income and savings, hence, improved livelihood.

Nabakooza Muwahijah aged 51 years and resident of Mitete Kalububu in Ssembabule, Uganda who a single mother with five children. Nabakooza is a poultry farmer. Nabakooza enticed her group members to register with COSMA where they got a soft loan at an interest of 2%. And now they are proud of being a member to COSMA. She got a loan from the group and started poultry keeping project where she expects to be earning USD 80 per week. Margret is dreaming of having a bigger poultry unit.
