Dear Maitri Friend,
We at Maitri, wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy & safe New Year. We sincerely hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to shutting of all schools since March 22 2020. During this time of crisis, our Afterschool Programme for underprivileged children and vocational centre (Stitching and tailoring classes) remains closed. However, we are hopeful that as situation improves, we will reopen our learning centres.
As you might have been aware by now, Indian NGOs have been facing an issue with disbursement of funds from GlobalGiving. since July. While GlobalGiving is constantly looking out for ways to mend this issue, we are hopeful that, we will get through these challenges.
Your donations will reach us, hopefully soon. Please continue to support us. Your contribution goes a long way in supporting our vision . Now, more than ever, our community needs us and we need you. We hope we will overcome this period together, and reopen our learning programme.
