The next school year will be particularly important for some of the children in our programme, as they will be taking two very important exams at the end of 7th grade. The results of these exams will determine their future educational path. For children whose first language is not Bulgarian, these exams are particularly challenging. Therefore, we spent a lot of time during the summer holidays reading and analysing different texts. In this way, the children gained knowledge about the historical period reflected in the literary works and about the way of life, Bulgarian tradition and culture described in them. We are currently planning how to organise support for these students during the school year, so that they can pass their exams and have a chance to continue their education in highly-rated schools.
