Dear Friends,
In September the kids have started the new school year. Some of them were really excited because this is their first year at school while the others couldn’t wait to meet again their schoolmates and share with them their summer adventures.
Thanks to donations we will continue to carry out the Afterschool program. Together with all ongoing activities, we have started a group for development of social skills. It was designed for the kids aged 12 to 15 who have behavioral problems and difficulties communicating with their classmates. The main aims of the group are to encourage the kids to build self-confidence and self-esteem, to learn how important is to be respectful of others and to treat them in a good way. Through various role plays, different types of exercises and activities they will explore how they participate in different social situations, how they collaborate with the others and what is their place in their class, in their group of friends. Also, we hope that all the group activities will help them to communicate better with their families.
