Thanks to your donations, we are forging ahead delivering visual arts lessons to the children at African Angels.
Our Grade 7 class has been fortunate to have weekly lessons from Lynne Farrenkothen, a talented graphic designed with a love for children. Having our visual arts space dedicated to art has been amazing. Although we are still renovating, it is wonderful to have the art resources that let the children create.
One of our learners in Grade 7 who struggles with academics is shining in the visual arts classes, and last term received top marks. What a confidence builder for him.
Wherever possible we enter the childrens' work in local South African and international art competitions so that the children might gain more recognition for doing something they clearly love.
Thank you for donating to our visual arts project. We have not yet hit our target for this project, but we are close and have received two new donations in the last 48 hours!
