Our crowdfunding campaign is to raise funds to for art classes and an art space at African Angels. Your donation will be used to achieve that this year. But we thought you might like to hear about two of our learners whose work has already been chosen for entry to two prestigious art competitions.
Oyama (below) has been with African Angels since he started school. He is the middle of three boys, and all the boys in the family are known for their outstanding manners and gentleness. Oyama has been taking 'art' as part of his normal curriculum, and this month, his painting has been selected to represent South Africa in the 48th World Schools art exhibition held annually in the Republic of China.
Owethu from Grade R (below) has had her picture selected to travel to Cape Town next term to compete in the prestigious Santam Art Exhibition.
Now imagine what the African Angels will achieve if they have access to quality art supplies and an art space? Watch this space!
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Angels. If you'd like to be added to our mailing list to receive monthly updates on what the Angels are up to please let Lou Billett know via email loukbillett@gmail.com
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Lou
