Thank you so much for your support of this project. I am writing to share some updates from ActionAid’s emergency response in Afghanistan. We appreciate you taking time to learn and act in response to this crisis.
Last year, Afghanistan experienced a deadly earthquake which resulted in more than 1,000 deaths, along with displacement and bereavement. This came at a time when the country was experiencing a hunger crisis. In response, ActionAid took immediate action. More than 1,000 families received ready to eat food packages, and more than 380 people received unconditional cash transfers. We also deployed a team that assisted in providing permanent housing for over 50 families. ActionAid continues to support individuals, families, and communities with resources during the aftermath of this earthquake.
You have made our humanitarian efforts possible, and we are very appreciative for your support and solidarity. Thank you for being part of the ActionAid team.
