Once again, we are thrilled to partner with Puckllay. This time, the Puckllay Art School presents Adventures in the Magical Andes, a theatrical adaptation of Oscar Colchado's novel, featuring children and adolescents with multidisciplinary artistic training. For 20 years, Puckllay has integrated art and pedagogy in community contexts, benefiting the most vulnerable children and youth. Join us to help more boys and girls.
Education and culture in Peru are not considered among the priorities of attention compared to other countries. There are serious gaps of inequality and opportunities, especially in vulnerable and peripheral areas, artistic training and practice is not part of the school, family and personal training of boys and girls; art and culture being fundamental tools for the comprehensive development of personality, self-esteem, identity and generation of opportunities.
Puckllay carries out its most important project to benefit the most vulnerable children and adolescents. The Art School in Lomas de Carabayllo permanently accompanies the participants, including their families and making them participate in the training of their children. Thus, art and culture take a leading place, improving the quality of life of the participants and providing them with a safe, pleasant and creative space, where it is possible to create and be happy.
Puckllay, through its artistic training school, creates favorable conditions to grow hand in hand with art in a safe and healthy environment. It is proven that artistic practice favors the human and integral development of boys and girls, providing them with tools to build their identity, strengthen their self-esteem, stimulate their creativity and resilience. In this way, they can become agents and leaders of change in their communities.
