Thanks to your donations to Voice for Humanity Uganda in partnership with Peace Hospice Adjumani, have been able to procure and supply colostomy bags, and providing oral liquid morphine to Alice while at home. Your donation has put hope and a smile on Alice Again. Alice, a south Sudanese refugee living in Adjumani Refugee settlement was in 2018 diagnosed with cancer of the rectum after she developed bloody stool followed by bleeding while defecating. While Alice has since received abdominoperineal resection (APR) and colostomy created for collection and removal of wastes as well as undergoing through six (6) out of the eight (8) cycles of chemotherapy recommended by the doctors, Alice lacked the finances to buy colostomy for collecting waste and oral liquid morphine to reduce pain which had reduced the prognosis of her condition leading to poor health status. Your donation came in handy in providing Alice for the finances to procure the colostomy and the oral liquid morphine which Alice said will prolong her life. We would be glad if you are able to share our project link with your friend and networks as we currently have 2 girls (14 and 17 years old respectively) both with cancer of the eye and need urgent medical attention.
