We work with youth to help them be more open, be active and to better communicate, negotiate and cooperate. Out leitmotiv is volunteerism. We support School's Volunteering Centers in 5 primary schools through regular trainings, gamification and encouraging them to be active volunteers - to learn new skills in practice. We want to raise funds for rewards for young volunteers in School's Volunteering Centers.
Sociological studies in the area of developing social competences show that youth from small towns and villages have lower social competences than their peers from large cities. It means more difficult start of young people into adult life. Contemporary labor market has different requirements than those imposed on students by the Polish school system. The Polish public school does not train social and civic competences, but focuses on individual development and competition.
Lessons concern key social competences required in the contemporary labor market. The main topic is volunteerism. Our intention is to strengthen such skills as teamwork, planning, responsibility, empathy, creativity and courage in proposing ideas. Social campaigns organized by young people check their skills in practice. Active forms of work in the form of training games are attractive for young people, in addition gamification encourages them to participate in the project.
The implementation of the project allows you to build active volunteer clubs in rural schools, allows young people to believe in their abilities and empower youth from rural areas, and improve social competence. We evaluate them with the LeverBasic tool and we know that this method works. Positive feedback from youth and teachers proves that the program is effective.
