Hi Friend,

Last year was…well, you know.

As much of a year as it was, we were inspired by your solidarity, which helped so many people through some of the toughest moments. Thanks to you, we were able to support marginalized populations around the world to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic in their communities, build resilience in the wake of emergencies, and amplify their voices in fighting for their rights.

That is why we are so excited to present our 2020 Annual Report, which highlights this work, and much more. Inside these pages, you will find my reflections on the year, as well as personal stories from the frontlines and insights into how we mobilized our community to respond to the challenges brought on by 2020.

We share how we responded to the pandemic on a personal level, and how we advocated for a Covid-19 recovery that protected more than 25 million people in 45 countries. We wouldn‘t be ActionAid if we didn’t fight for climate justice, pushing Congress to commit the U.S. to its fair share of climate action. We wouldn’t be ActionAid if we didn’t fight for the right to food, demanding global support for family farmers to achieve food security. And we wouldn’t be ActionAid without your fierce commitment to democracy and racial justice.

As we look back at the work we’ve done, and the work we have yet to do, we are grateful for you. Your solidarity, your advocacy, and your support. We can’t thank you enough.
