We are very fortunate to be getting computers donated to us and at the same time making contact with more homes in Japan.
We have rented a temporary storage unit to hold the inventory until it is ready to be shipped out to the receiving homes.
There are 50 laptops being readied and sent out in Hiroshima. We upgraded 4 laptops to increase the class size in Nagoya and the ten laptops in Iwate are currently online and being monitored for upgrades and virus scanning.
We will be giving computers to any of the kids who will be graduating high school this year and need their own device to continue their studies or for their personal use.
One of the challenges we are having is that we are allotted a certain number of licenses per two years via TechSoup so will have to have each home join TechSoup in order to get the Operating Licenses necessary to make the donated computers operational.
Thank you so much for your contributions, we will not rest until all homes in Japan, which we have access to via email and have been inviting to our Staff Seminars, have their own device.
Regards,
YouMeWe NPO
