Hello,
Since the beginning of the project, we have sent questionnaires to the homes along the historical 53 stations of Tokaido which we have renamed the "53 station of empowerment", and we received a response from the first home in Shinagawa which we will send a computer to. We have also installed 6 MacBooks in Nagoya where we are teaching English, financial literacy and career assessments.
We have volunteers contacting the homes in Kyoto at the end of the stations, which is our next focus.
We’ve had companies pledge over 50 computers which are being prepared by the children in the current homes we represent.
We also are reaching out to Hokkaido and Kumamoto and trying to finish the project somewhere in the middle.
Currently, only 5% of the children living in the homes have access to Wi-Fi, when we are done, we hope that this bring us to 100%.
As we are living in an information society, we see access to Wi-Fi as a human right.
Thank you for your generosity, and we are looking forward to keeping you updated about our progress.
Regards,
YouMeWe NPO
