Since 2019, Root Foundation is blessed to provide brass band and life skills training to the less privileged children in partnership with Brass for Africa. Today, we count 150 children and youth registered in four bands (Silver A, Silver B, Gold A and Gold B). we are experiencing a challenge of the sound that goes out of our center and make noise to the neighbors. We are raising fund to build a professional music room to avoid noise and also inspire our participants to pursue music career.
We are experiencing a challenge that needs action steps to proactively avoid any effects to our music and life skills program. This is the issue of the noise caused by the music sound to our neighbors and this has been a local government attention and suggested to add sound proof to our center. This creates high risks to our current participants to not effectively study. We have received warning and if no thing is done we might stop or reduce practice days of our lovely brass band program.
Making a professional music room will prevent noise from going outside and our 150 participants will continues the practices smoothly. As there will be no more noise to the neighbors, and participants will concentrate on their music studies. Moreover, this project will bring inspiration to our participants to maximize their potentials and become great musicians and professionals while pursuing their careers.
This project will sustain our music project and more than 500 less privileged children and youth will access music and life skills training. This project will also raise the standard of our music program to an extent where learners will pursue music as a career which would shape their future through performances and doing professional jobs in the field.
