After just one semester since transforming the Kolahun Public Elementary School into a Model School focusing on literacy, already HALF of the students are reading!
This is extraordinary progress since only six students could read a second grade passage upon enrollment and now we have 107 readers!
Literacy is FOUNDATIONAL to escaping poverty and this school is a pathway to a better future for these children.
Despite the success of the program, the Model School is currently underfunded. We are struggling to pay teachers.
Your continued contributions are the difference between a child learning to read or not.
