The war in Ukraine is in its third year and the number of casualties continues to rise, while the enemy mercilessly destroys Ukrainian cities and villages, kills and injures the civilian population.
While the fundraiser to purchase high-quality expensive equipment is still in process, our sponsors’ donations helped us purchase and transfer to Ukrainian hospitals six sets of tools (drills and saws) for complex surgical operations on the limbs of military and civilian victims of war.
These operations are aimed at saving limbs and returning people to an active life.
Ukrainian traumatologists work hard, performing limb-saving operations, even in the absence of high-quality equipment. The need to acquire even more quality surgical tools and equipment is growing every day. In 2024, our orthopedic traumatologists performed 1,800 operations on limbs, while the queue of patients needing surgery is 4,000 people long and is growing all the time.
In addition to surgical tools, our organization is helping Ukrainian traumatologists purchase consumables and various devices required during limb surgeries. These operations have already helped save the limbs of 45 people who suffered from mine-explosive injuries.
We want to express our sincerest gratitude to our sponsors who continue helping our medics care for the injured and give them hope to avoid limb amputations and eventually return to healthier lives.
