The project got a fantastic start because of the gravity of the situation and also the uniqueness of the project. The situation demanded all efforts to target the state of Kerala and rescue as many animals as possible in a short time. Many animals were stranded as people could not carry them along while escaping the devastating floods.
The primary objective was to procure life-saving equipment as well as identify safe areas to house these animals. Your prompt and generous donation helped us in saving more than 100 animals and rushing food and medical supplies to them immediately. A few pets could be reunited to their parents bringing much relief and joy to both. Many animals that were rescued were sick that needed immediate treatment and your donations helped us buy life-saving drugs and covered expenses for their transportaion to places where veterinary facilities were available.
Many healthy animals were vaccinated, spayed/neutered and put up for fostering/adoptions. Your 10 USD donation helps us to vaccinate a companion animal and your 25 USD donation helps us to spay/neuter a companion animal thereby facilitating their fostering/adoption.
The pictures below stand testimony to your genorosity and compassion. The work is still ongoing, as many shelters need massive repairs after the floods - raising the floors, putting new roofs, etc. We are still short of our goal and are appealing again to share and spread the campaign so that we can together make a tremendous difference in the lives of many animals displaced due to the floods.
