Rehabilitation for Disabled in Siaya, Kenya

ReJenga continue to work firmly towards the clinic and establishing a community based rehabilitation in Siaya. At this time we continue to work with the Hospital management on creating space for the rehab setting and get the community more involved in the program. We are in working to have a social worker, and train a local towards providing regular physical therapy to children at the clinic.

For the next 3 months:

Set project time line with hospital management
Get the community involved through booths
Identify children in the community that can be treated
Establish a program manager

The project continues to take increased length of time because of the corruption and red tape in the admins. For a grassroot non profit, there is difficulty to see that the donor money is used at 100% towards the cause versus corruption.
