Dear GlobalGiving supporters, hope you are having a happy beginning of 2021,
Together we did it! Thank you for your timely response. The children and older adults we serve had to face once again the challenges that life presents to them, this time with the damage that Tropical Storm Iota left in their homes in addition to the challenges they are already facing with the Coronavirus pandemic since children and older adults spend all their time in homes, addressing damage was a priority.
The homes of children and the elderly were part of the areas that Tropical Storm Iota affected causing flooding and damage to structures. With your kind and prompt help, we were able to repair the ceilings and wall leaks in bedrooms and kitchen, flooding on the floor in one of the children's rooms, the hallway, the outdoor eating area, and the kitchen, as well as scheduling the repair of the septic tanks that treat the domestic wastewater from the two houses. In such a way, children and older adults have gradually been able to make use of these areas in a safe and healthy way by doing their daily activities.
Not only can Fundación Dones de Misericordia continue to protect our current children and older adults, restore their rights, and possibly reunite our children with their families, it will also be able to expand the impact we have by protecting more children.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for staying connected with us, learning about our needs, and taking the time and effort to make us feel cared for and supported. Our prayers go out to you and your loved ones to keep you healthy and happy.
