What a difference a small amount of money can make to an abused child.
She came to us scared and unsure of who to trust. HUG social workers were with her 24 hours a day the first 4 days as they built trust.
With the money raised we quickly bought her 2 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of socks, shirts and pants, a backpack, school supplies and some feminine hygiene products. It was like she was a new girl, still burdened by abuse, but free and with new clothes for the first time in a long time.
We thank you for your support.
