By Linda Zarate | Director: Helping Hands Project
Dear Friends of Helping Hands and Luz Marina,
We are very pleased to report that Luz Marina is doing very well and has set out to the countryside to do her three months of practical work at a health center there. In her studies she is required to do three months in a community in the rural area and then 6 months in a local hospital in the city. She was most excited about this adventure; although she was worried she would be homesick, too.
Through a separate fund, Helping Hands provided all the materials she needed to start her practical work. However, we have set up a new micro project to try to raise the funds we need to buy a laptop to be used by our students in the medical fields when they are in the rural areas, as they must gather data and prepare their presentations there. By the beginning of March, Luz Marina will need the laptop. We have set up a separate micro project “Basic Laptop Computer for Field Work” at http://goto.gg/45125 which we hope will be funded by the beginning of March for Marina. If you would like to contribute to the laptop, please use this link: http://goto.gg/45125
This second semester we have spent Bs 2376,10 for Luz Marina leaving a positive balance of Bs 4900,90 for the rest of this year and for her expenses for her graduation,
