For children throughout New York City and beyond, back-to-school season means getting to see friends again, adjusting to new classes and teachers, and learning new lessons that will follow them throughout their lives. This year, though, back-to-school season has even more meaning, as children continue to readjust to in-person learning and make up for large gaps in their academic development caused by the pandemic. Children don’t just need backpacks and pencils, they also need physical and emotional support. And people like you are helping provide that support.
Thanks to your generosity, our schools throughout New York can provide their students with not only school supplies, but medical care, meals, and other essential services. Take a look at what P.S. 211 in the South Bronx does for their students in this news clip.
The wide range of services that community schools like P.S. 211 provide to their students — some of the neediest in New York City — are more essential now than ever before. Your gift goes a long way toward making these children’s academic success — and their lives — so much better. Thank you for uplifting the children of New York City.
