March 17, 2025 (WASHINGTON, DC) — GlobalGiving is honored to announce the appointment of Bob Sims as the new Chair of its Board of Directors and Tina Exarhos as Vice Chair.

Bob Sims, a GlobalGiving board member since 2017, is a retired partner at Latham & Watkins LLC, with decades of experience representing and advising businesses and financial institutions on trade sanctions, anti-corruption, and compliance matters. His career has spanned government service and international law, including roles as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland and as Senior Adviser for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs during the Clinton Administration. Bob's deep understanding of global governance and legal systems has been instrumental in shaping GlobalGiving's commitment to ethical and impactful philanthropy.

Tina Exarhos, who has served on the GlobalGiving board since 2020, is an award-winning executive with extensive experience in digital media, television, film, and music. As the former Chief Content Officer at NowThis News, she led groundbreaking news coverage and storytelling initiatives amplifying social impact. Previously, Tina was the Chief Marketing Officer at MTV, overseeing the iconic brand's creative and marketing strategy. She has executive produced award-winning documentaries, including the Academy Award-winning Two Distant Strangers (Netflix). Tina also serves on the advisory councils of EarthJustice and Mogul, and has been deeply engaged in organizations advancing equity and justice. She is currently advising the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation on their brand and content strategies.
